The Wellbeing Gathering - 15th May
VE 80 - 8th May
To commemorate the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and of civilians in the Second World War and to promote a peaceful future, the Feelgood Factory will be hosting a day of events to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on 8th May.
Morning - 11-12.30
Join in games and entertainments of the 1940s in the Netherton Community Garden such as Kerby, Tin-Can Alley, French Cricket, skipping and more.
Also listen to music of the time (dance if you want to) and explore the exhibition of the first VE day to find out why it was such a big deal at the time.
Tuck Shop available (including tea and coffee).
Afternoon - 12.30-3
Come together with your friends and neighbours for a street party to celebrate VE 80. To allow for the British weather this will be in the Feelgood Factory, although the gardens will be decorated and open if the rain keeps off.
As well as food there will be music. If you want to dress up to look the part then feel free, or just come as you are if that is easier.
As this is an indoor event we just ask that people who want to attend let us know in advance - phone 0151 291 8010.
