The Feelgood Factory works in practical ways to improve the health, well being and quality of life of vulnerable people. In order to undertake this work we rely heavily on the committed work of local volunteers. Between 2008 and 2009 our volunteers provided over 7,000 hours of service to the community, which is equal to more than £40,000 worth of work at the National Minimum Wage.
Services provided at present include:
Accident Prevention Scheme Funded by Sefton Council, this service is designed to provide small aids and adaptations for clients in their own homes to keep them safe and independent.
Shopping Squad The Shopping Squad provides a door-to-door shopping service for people who cannot manage to do their own shopping. We also have a small project called "Community Shoppers" which is a more individual and personal service.
Mow and Grow Mow and Grow provides a basic gardening service aimed at helping people who would struggle to maintain their own gardens, making them more vulnerable to accidents and crime. At present this service is restricted to the Netherton Park Estate.
